We have a little St. Francis in our garden and once had to mold new doves for him. Kids wanted to make feathers sticking out his mouth but I said no. Still can't pass the statuette without remembering, smiling.
Oh that's funny. I will always think of that now when I pass this statue. Last winter when I had a problem with mice in my kitchen I thought of poor Saint Francis with his plague of field mice. My situation never became that distressing, fortunately.
